Dorothy Dourandi, NYC

Dorothy is a Program Manager for the NYC Technical Assistance Resource Center. She transitioned from The Office of Food and Nutrition Services as a Compliance Associate. There she monitored programs and partnered with schools for four wonderful years. Dorothy is a fan of the 21st CCLC mission, as afterschool programming played a significant role in the pursuit of her various life quests. Prior to School food, Dorothy taught film and photography in several programs. Dorothy is an enthusiastic fan of the arts, having worked as an illustrator and photographer for local musicians. She took this passion and spent several summers volunteering at Willie Mae Rock Camp for girls where participants created bands, wrote music, perfected, and performed all in a week. Dorothy studied Gender and Psychology and enjoys using that knowledge in addition to music and art as a form of art therapy while working with children.
