Alexandra Herrera is a Program Manager at the NYC TARC (New York City Technical Assistance Resource Center) with a passion for serving families and youth. Most recently in her former position as a Teaching Assistant, she had the privilege of working at several whole child centered organization supporting students in their individual growth and equipping families with the tools they need to advance that work. Her unique background in childcare, coupled with her personal experience in like programing further supports her dedication to advancing the goals of the NYC TARC. She is the fulfilled realization of the public school system, demonstrating how afterschool programing and an array of academic and extracurricular supports leads to success in a real tangible way. Her strong belief in afterschool programming and the benefits it holds for the students and the families we serve is especially strengthened when she works with the amazing 21st Century subgrantees.
