Kizzy Smallwood, NYC

Kizzy is the Program Manager for the NYC Technical Assistance Resource Center. She transitioned from The Office of Food and Nutrition Services as a Compliance Coordinator, where she monitored programs and partnered with schools for three years. She also worked for the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a licensor for all childcare programs, making sure that all documentation was in compliance with The Office of Children and Family Services. Worked as case manager for 15 years, dealing with disconnected youth in the workforce arena and other social service settings within the nonprofit sector. Kizzy is very proud of the work at Mosholu Montefiore Community Center as a Case Manager Coordinator for the Young Adult Internship Program, where she transitioned young adults to the workforce with the support of education services. Kizzy has her Master's degree in Social and Public Policy with a concentration in Public Administration from SUNY Empire State College. Kizzy is passionate about the 21st CCLC mission, as afterschool programming played a significant role in the trajectory of her own academic and professional success.
