Melissa Ocasio is a Program Manager for the 21st Century Resource Center with the Department of Education. She has worked as a Program Director for more than 15 years for various Community Based Organizations, Beacons, and Cornerstones; seven of those years as a director of a 21st CCLC program. Melissa graduated from St. John’s University with a BA in Sports Management and Education. She has been married for 7 years and is a mother of two biological children and two step-children. She is truly blessed to be working in this capacity because now she can share her best practices and work with many communities in New York City.
